Password Strength Infographic

Interesting password graphic from CXO. I am not quite sure what the people axis is meant to show, or exactly what social class is represented by a Douche. In any case, the examples were verified by Google’s password strength meter, and give a good visual the password spectrum (click to enlarge).

  1. I think what the graph really shows is how poor most password strength meters are. For example, nc1701 is not a good password even against an online attack, (where an attacker is limited in the number of guesses they can make). When protecting against online attacks I'm much more of a fan of a blacklisting approach.I have to admit I was amused by someone using a Fibonacci number as a password though.
